Aasian image of the weather, again winter upon the arrival of spring, the film is presented in semihibernation this week: eight new films only, and exits rather discrete. But three major unexpected names in the credits... The first is Enki Bilal, the designer of apocalyptic stories where science fiction says our already terrifiques realities, who signs his third film, "immortal ad vitam". By adapting to a quite dazzling mixture of real interpreters and images synthesis, two of his albums, "The fair to the Immortals" and "The woman trap", to tell the mad love of beauty in blue tears and a man out of hibernation. Cold, worrying, very faithful to the universe of the creator.
The second is Luc Bondy, the Director of theatre, happening for the third time behind the camera with "don't do it!" Naturally, this ironic comedy about marital conflict is especially... a film of actors; but as they are called Nicole Garcia, Natacha Régnier and Miki Manoljovic, Kusturica interpreter, it does way, although it regrets the nonchalance of the scenario and editing.

The third is Martin Scorsese, who here makes its contribution to the series he himself initiated on the history of the blues from "Mississippi to Mali" was seen, with the young bluesman Corey Harris, that the music of black Americans must at their African ancestors. The demonstration, alas, is less exciting than the approach...
It is ultimately unknown, the Afghan Sedigh Barmak, who signs the most shocking film of the week: "Osama", the portrait of a young girl, twelve, is disguises as a man to be able to move freely and to work to feed his family is to recruit in a Koranic school. A table terrifying and poignant of the status of women in the Afghanistan of the Taliban. From which the call for tolerance of "end of the world left", of the Israeli Avi Nesher, which evokes in the tone of the comedy of cultures between Moroccan and Indian Jews in a colony on the desert war, appears that gently sympathetic...
Three times just expand the program. Both are signed Edgar g. Ulmer: "The black cat" (1934), with Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi, and "The Bandit" (1955). The third, "M the cursed" (1931), Fritz Lang, is a masterpiece of reference...

You can be serious when seventeen years... This is what proves the extraordinary "Seventeen years", Didier Nion, chronic documentary of the daily life of a young teenager looking for cues in the France of today. It can be confusing when you are eighty years, it is the case of Eric Rohmer with "Triple Agent", nonchalant story of a Russian spy emigrated in Paris from the edge of the last world war. And can be exciting with just two almost silent actors lost in the desert: this is what successful "Gerry", minimalist simplicity of Gus Van Sant.
